Scary Wednesday

Last Wednesday we had a very scary experience in our home. Michael was at work and I was home with the kids. Peters nap went longer then normal so, I went in to check on him and he was boiling HOT with a fever. I woke him up got some meds in him and tried to cool him down with a rag.

About 20 mins later, Peter began to have a seizure. It was a HORRIFY experience for anyone to have to witness. I called 911 and 9 mins later (still seizing) the ambulance arrived. These sweet men took Peter and layed him on the couch and begin to work on him. I was calm and tried to keep it together for Gracie. After another seizure they told me we needed to take him to ER. All of his levels were ok and stable.

Our sweet boy took a while to get his energy back. He just wanted to sleep and snuggle. Even with all the tubes and things hooked up to him he still was so handsome.

We are so grateful for great doctors, hospitals, Emergency responders, and I am so thankful for the dear gal who answered the 911 call and walked me through those 9 LONG MINUTES, She reminded me to PULL it together, to get a GRIP and to be a mom. Wish I could thank her for her strength.

After all the tests, a few days later I noticed spots on his body. It ended up just being hand, foot and mouth virus. The seizure was just a result of a spiking temperature. Thank goodness thats all.

Moments like this help you reflect and think about what really is important in this life. It changed me  as a person to witness my sweet little man going through his seizures. I am forever grateful to be a mother and I hope I dont ever forget to appreciate the same simple things that come with this calling. Our happy, crazy, lovable boy is back to his normal sweet self besides scabbing from the blisters and soars from the virus.

Count your many blessings. We love you sweet Peter boy.

Fathers Day

The GREATEST dad got breakfast in bed by this cute little girl on fathers day.

Dad got a new tie to wear to church.

We celebrated with a yummy dinner and dads favorite dessert and opened a few gifts.

It was the perfect day for our perfect man. I could not ask for a better man and best friend  to raise my kids with and enjoy this crazy life we have together. Happy Fathers day babe. Thank you for supporting our family in all that you do.

Moms Birthday

MOM turned 60 this past month, she deserved a fun party to celebrate how amazing she is!

We kept it a SURPRISE until that same day when Bake, Jen, Mere, kids and I showed up at the house.

She was shocked. We had a fun day running around, getting things set up for the main event!

My amazing Sis in Law Jen is the best party planner around. I was her "assistant" and we had alot of fun planning and preparing for this party.

Of course we had lots of cousin time and fun adventures at Nanny and bappas house as well.

We missed our other siblings and the rest of our cousins too.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMMA. You are such a wonderful example to all of us. So glad we were able to share this special day with you.

San Diego

The kids and I jumped in the car and headed to San Diego a few weeks ago. We heard our cousins from DC would be in town and we needed to see their cute faces.

My kiddos sure LOVE the beach....

Grandma took all the cousins to a indoor play place called Playworks. the kids had a blast! Even cousin Spencer drove up from Long beach to get in on the action.

Lego land one day!! We had sooo much fun!! Peter and Grace LOVED spending time with gma and pappa.

Boat ride....
