First Haircut

Grandma Marquardt was in town and Grace had a blast hanging with her. One of the things they did was go get Gracies first hair cut.
My Mom in Law said Grace was sooo SERIOUS the whole time in the chair. Then when she got outside she got all her SASS back.
This cute hair salon for kids sounds soo neat. Grace got to pick a movie and pick what fun chair she wanted to sit in.

Dont worry they only took off a few inches... Thanks Grandma. Grace had so much fun with you this past week. Parks, shopping, special lunches, fun treats and much much more. WE really appreciated all you did for us while you were in town. SO nice to have so much help with this transition. Love you lots

Splish Splash

Here are pictures of Peters first bath after the hospital. Grace was VERY involved..... She is and was VERY hands on..... I love it !

All cozy in his towel.....

Grace helping with getting him dressed. She was giving LOTS of kisses to calm him down.

Mamma Morphy

Well I am finally feeling OK with posting about my mom leaving me this past Sunday. My wonderful mom came into town to help with pretty much EVERYTHING the week Peter was born.
I really believe people should hire my mom to come into their home after having a baby. She always makes sure that you are fed and all the laundry is folded, refrigerator is full, makes all sorts of yummy treats..... The list goes on and on. I am one lucky daughter to have a mom like her. She even wakes up in the middle of the night while I am nursing and just chit chats with me about whatever. She always seems to know what to say and she makes you feel like you have it all under control even if you know you REALLY DONT! She makes you feel like a million bucks and that you can conquer the world.
It was a sad day for me when she had to head back to California. I wish we lived closer. Thank you mamma for all your support and encouraging words. You always make me feel like I am the best mom and that I can do this! I hope you are right!!! I love you more then you will ever know.. If only I can be half the mom you are to me. xoxo

Peter Kekoa Marquardt

We checked into the hospital at 6 am on March 12, 2012. At 5:30 pm our sweet baby boy was born. He weighed in at 9lbs 6 ounces, 21" in height. BIG HEALTHY BABY BOY!

He looks like his sister Grace. He has a little bigger nose and his eye lashes are not as long as hers yet. He has brown eyes and lots of brown THICK hair. When they were weighing him in and cleaning him up I could not take my eyes off him. We fell in LOVE all over again.

Overwhelmed and emotional......
Dr. Corey Bruce.... Greatest Dr. around.. We are so blessed that he has delivered both of our kids.
Our DARLING nurse Molly. We just loved her. She took such great care of me. She made the best cranberry juices for me!
I love this picture that he is wearing the hospital bracelet. It has my name on there. Reminds me that he is MINE and heavenly Father sent him to me to mother him. I am so overwhelmed by all the blessings I have in my life.
Grace just adores Peter. She came to the hospital and just squealed with excitement to meet him for the first time.

Our TWO cute kids

So here we are, family of FOUR! I still can not believe Peter is here and we are healthy and happy. Words can not describe how blessed we feel. Now more then ever I am reassured that families are eternal and we can be together forever. Our love has grown so much this week. We love you PETER KEKOA MARQUARDT. Welcome to our family.
